A dietician (licensed with a degree in the industry) is a medical professional and a nutritionist often starts a private practice coaching their clients around diet and nutrients. A Health Coach (like Nicole) focuses on overall lifestyle change, wellness, and nutrition by helping her clients find the right foods to support them in reaching their health goals and a better balance in all areas of their life. She takes on much more of a coaching role and clients are a part of the process working in conjunction with her support to reach their goals.
Nicole works with each person based on a bio-individual basis, which means that no two people or two bodies are the same. We will work together to support your weight loss or weight maintenance goals by creating meal/nutrition suggestions, supplements, and other holistic wellness recommendations that will add to your results. Physical movement and nutritional intake are both very important, so we must make sure we are fueling and supporting all the fitness efforts you're putting in!
Working with a Health Coach like Nicole can be a beautiful breath of fresh air. It's not like a dreaded detox, strict meal plan or meeting with a practitioner who gives you a regimen and the rest is up to you. It's like taking a walk with a friend who has 100% of their focus and devotion on your goals and concerns, combining counseling, guidance, mentorship, health and wellness knowledge and mindfulness accountability all in one. It is a time dedicated JUST FOR YOU to look forward to so that you can finally break out of the cycle of self-sabotage and create a clear plan for where you want to be in your health and life. Nicole meets with clients for one hour, ideally twice per month, for 6 or 12 sessions, but you can set up appointments one at a time if that works best for you.
Nicole molds the wisdom of Ayurvedic eating methods to the needs, schedules and realistic expectations of today's busy women and moms. Depending on your needs and goals, she can recommend a few different dietary theories that will work for you and your family. Overall, working with Nicole will share her extensive knowledge on healthy cooking and shopping methods, clarify label reading, diet comparison, supplement suggestions, emotional eating awareness, food journal accountability (are you really eating what you think you are eating) and any additional issues around food sensitivities or concerns. There is not one specific go-to meal plan, you can Google that. This is about accountability, having someone you can trust to support you, and realizing the true connection of all areas of our life that affect our health and wellness, and how to create balance from the inside out.
Nicole has been working with clients on their health and wellness goals since 2011. Her practice has evolved and is now mostly available to women, mothers, and expectant mothers who are in overall good health, looking to lose 50 lbs or less, are willing and ready to make true changes in their lives, are going to be honest and commit to the sessions and goals set with Nicole, and are fully prepared to release the patterns and habits that are no longer in line with where they are heading. She is open to working with men, but an initial appointment is best to make sure that she can best support those clients' needs.
At this time, Nicole is not accepting clients who are under a doctor's care for extreme medical conditions or medical conditions related specifically to gastrointestinal concerns or very specific dietetic needs. Her advice and suggestions are not a replacement for medical advice. Do not start any workout regimen or stop taking any medication without consulting a medical professional. Nicole is not working with clients under 21, with those looking to lose over 50 lbs, or those considered an athlete or who work out at a professional athletic level. Nicole's philosophies share knowledge for holistic balanced health, nutrition, and mindfulness, and do not support any specific extreme diet or eating plans such as veganism, paleo, or those on a diet that is being supervised by a medical professional.
